About LeasePlan Australia

The LeasePlan name was born in the Netherlands in 1963 and its spread to international markets commenced with the opening of the Belgian LeasePlan office in 1972.

Australia became the twelfth country to see a LeasePlan operation open in 1988. Now, LeasePlan is in 30 countries and manages more than 1.3 million vehicles worldwide.

The original LeasePlan Australia consisted of just four people. By 1993, it was managing 10,000 cars.

It acquired existing fleet management companies - Wheelease, ACF and Dasfleet - to grow to 400 people by 2009.

Staff levels remain at around 400, with a presence in all Australian states and territories. Approximately 90,000 vehicles are managed by LeasePlan Australia with clients representing corporate, government and SMEs.
