In the May 2008 budget the Federal Government announced changes to FBT legislation which required laptops to have a primary business use to obtain the FBT exemption.
As a direct consequence of this announcement most employers discontinued laptops as a packaging option for their employees.
Effective 31 December 2008 LeasePlan ceased offering laptop lease as a product to its customers.
All existing laptop leases will continue to be supported by LeasePlan until these leases terminate.
